Knights’ Home Building Centre
In the summer of 2010 the Home Building Centre expanded from a 5000 sq. foot to 14000 sq. ft store and doubled its offering of products from 12 to 24 thousand items.
“Our family has been in the lumber business for over 150 years in Meaford. It all started six generations ago with a saw mill. From the saw mill, the operation started manufacturing flooring, furniture, windows and doors. Today, our focus is on manufacturing and operating a Home Building Centre.
Community support has been outstanding, and that support is why we were able to once again expand and move our store to its new location on Highway 26 in the summer of 2010.
The community gets behind a project and continues to support it by shopping locally. That is one of the reasons why I love Meaford. A smaller community provides the opportunity to know your customers and their needs.”

AMWooD Skateboard Company
AMWooD is Meaford’s first longboard manufacturing company, and was started in 2011 by owner, operator and longboarder Alistair McCall. The company produces a variety of models, and specializes in custom and boutique longboards.
Sourcing his wood in North America, employing less volatile finishes, utilizing hemp fibers, and environmentally friendlier epoxy resins allow McCall to produce extremely high-quality boards that are also greener than the industry standard.
In its short history AMWooD has shipped longboards to customers all over North America.
