The Meaford Lawn Bowling Club is located on the south bank of the Bighead river, behind the service station on Sykes Street and is reached by a laneway between the service station and the small engine repair store.  Lawn Bowling in Meaford is an activity for all ages.  The season starts in early June with free clinics to learn and practice the skills of the game.  Regular bowling times are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.  Enjoy the company of others who like to be active and have some fun.  The game is a friendly sport with constantly changing teams so you can play on a "drop-in" basis. New Members are always welcome!

Call Doug Reid, President - 519-538-0390 for more information.

We are a group,  from Meaford and area, who is learning the rhythmic dance movements of Paneurhythmy, a dance that was created in Bulgaria by Peter Duenov from 1920-40’s to assist us to live in harmony and peace in the world and connects us with the natural rhythms of nature. There are 28 movements and 2 other dances. The steps and arm movements are easy to learn. Our intention is to teach the steps and receive the holistic benefits of the dance and music and to create a harmonious community experience.  During the winter, we are meeting at 8:45 a.m  - 9:50 a.m.Tuesday mornings at the Meaford St Vincent Community Centre, the summer we meet outdoors.  Everyone is welcomed.

WALK Friendly Ontario is a recognition program that encourages municipalities to create and improve spaces and places to walk by awarding Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum designations. Using our comprehensive framework of indicators for walkability, municipalities can benchmark their current status and measure progress over time. The program gives walking a prominent profile in community planning and design, and encourages municipal governments to set targets for ongoing improvements. As communities strive to achieve higher awards, the built environment is transformed to support safe, sustainable and independent mobility.
